  • October 2006: Wright-Lipson-Makihara Thursday 10/12, 8PM at Mascher Space Cooperative, 155 Cecil B Moore Ave (N. Mascher St and Cecil B. Moore Ave), Philadelphia. Jack Wright (saxophones), Evan Lipson (double bass) & Toshi Makihara (drums). In 1983, Jack Wright and I had a trio called "Here Now Trio" with the bassist Rob Clayton. 23 years later, we are launching another trio attempt in Philadelphia with great young bassist Evan Lipson. It is a very interesting and emotional reunion for me. I will be playing a traditional jazz drum kit on this show.
